"Some Missing...." This is the book that I have been working on for a while now, with author and bon viveur Gordon Thorburn. The book is a lament for disappearing species such as men who mend cars, proper doctors and lesser natural receptionists. Illustrated in my favourite black and white the book is due to be published in 2010 Look out for it!
I like line drawing. On paper and this section is for just that.These are all roughs, the stage before the finished drawing. I like that stage, no pressure.I draw with a pen onto layout paper or tracing paper, old fashioned but effective.The drawings are layered until I get the finished item.
A line drawing a day keeps you healthy, wealthy and gay. Perhaps not!
These are part of a series done some years ago and as yet unfinished.
Still in the garden? This rings true. I like gardens, and garden sheds and I like to spend time in the garden, but dreaming not digging. My chum Gordon Thorburn wrote a book about sheds.....worth a look even though it has photos!!
And another....these are all roughs and I have yet to finish them off properly. I like doing the roughs, anyone want to finish them for me?
I like cooking which is why I loathe Bar B Q's! That's not cooking!
Golf? You'd be barmy to take it up. Golfers are all obsessed....balls, holes, strewth!
